About the role
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on a major renewable energy project near Rockhampton, Queensland. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting site operations to deliver a Zero Harm environment across a large-scale solar and battery project. Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors, you will drive HSE compliance, coach safe work practices, and support risk management, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a site-based role on a 2:1 DIDO/FIFO roster, offering a competitive salary, uplift, flights, and camp accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of HSE systems, plans, and procedures on site
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Coach teams and subcontractors on safe work practices and compliance
- Investigate incidents and support corrective actions and reporting
- Assist with training, inductions, and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum), Diploma or higher preferred
- Proven experience in a HSE Advisor role on construction projects
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and standards
- Experience in audits, incident investigations, and risk management
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and coach teams
