About the Opportunity
Gamuda Australia is seeking an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join the team delivering the Parramatta Integrated Station Development (ISD).
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a major design-and-construct project, working across design, procurement and construction to drive sustainability outcomes and support the project's Green Star objectives.
You will work closely with design consultants, engineers, construction teams, subcontractors and project leadership to ensure sustainability requirements are effectively embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the project's sustainability strategy and objectives.
- Coordinate sustainability requirements across design, procurement and construction activities.
- Support Green Star certification, including credit coordination, evidence collection and reporting.
- Review design documentation and identify sustainability opportunities and risks.
- Provide sustainability input into procurement, materials and subcontractor engagement.
- Monitor project sustainability performance through construction, including site inspections and audits.
- Support initiatives covering energy, water, waste, materials, embodied carbon and responsible sourcing.
- Maintain sustainability registers, documentation, reporting and project KPIs.
- Work collaboratively with environmental, engineering, design and construction teams to deliver practical sustainability outcomes.
- Provide sustainability advice and recommendations to project leadership.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, Building, Construction or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated sustainability experience within construction, infrastructure, property or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Green Star rating tools and certification processes.
- Experience working across the design and construction lifecycle, preferably within a design-and-construct environment.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices, energy and water efficiency, waste, materials and embodied carbon.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence project teams.
- Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) status and experience on major commercial, infrastructure or integrated developments will be highly regarded.
