With a proved track record in delivering innovative and complex infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally, Gamuda’s strategy is to invest in, develop and construct large-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on wind, solar and BESS developments and EPC projects.
We are currently mobilising our team to deliver one of Victoria’s most significant renewable energy projects in southwest Victoria, an integrated 450 MW solar and 600 MW BESS hybrid project.
The role
Working closely with our engineering & construction delivery team you will support the technical development & delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar Farms, Wind Farms, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This will include:
- Develop, review and approve technical scopes of work, specifications and deliverables for engineering and design packages.
- Manage technical interfaces and outputs of external design consultancies across a range of scopes.
- Provide technical input into OEM selection, procurement strategies, technical evaluations and contract clarifications.
- Oversee engineering inputs into project controls, forecasting, cost and schedule management.
- Contribute to the development and governance of project execution plans, engineering management plans, schedules, budgets and resourcing strategies.
- Support the development of construction plans and programs.
Your skills and experience
You will be an experienced Electrical Senior Project Engineer with exposure to large and complex renewable energy projects with tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or renewable energy. Specific skills and experience will include:
- Proven ability to provide technical expertise at a strategic and detailed level.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary project environments with a good understanding of interface between design and construction scopes.
- Knowledge of leading OEMs and equipment suppliers in the renewables sector.
- Advanced communication and collaboration skills.
