Gamuda Engineering is a reputable Engineering and Construction contractor that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport, Civil and Energy Infrastructure projects.

As part of Gamuda’s commitment to expansion, Gamuda Engineering has established offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to pursue and deliver a variety of engineering and construction projects.

We have recently commenced construction on a significant Sydney Water pipeline re-instatement project in Sydney’s northern suburbs and are tendering a range of other water infrastructure projects across the east coast.

 

The Role

As a Quality Coordinator you will be critical to maintaining effective quality systems that deliver effective and compliant engineering solutions that satisfy the client needs and expectations. You will work closely with our engineering design and construction delivery teams to support best practice in project execution and handover of this significant infrastructure project.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and regular updating of the project Quality Plan and associated documentation.
  • Monitor construction team, subcontractor and supplier compliance with Quality Standards in project delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation for all Quality Audits of consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Continually review Project planning / construction for areas of risk and compliance.
  • Ensure that all project activities, processes and systems comply with applicable Quality certification and relevant standards.
  • Consolidate quality data and prepare weekly / monthly reports. Collate Monthly report submission for broader QA & Delivery Team.

 

Your skills & experience

You will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or similar along with experience working on water and utility projects. Experience working on Sydney Water projects in particular would be a significant advantage. Specific experience requirements include:

  • Sound knowledge of quality management systems preferably in a civil engineering and construction delivery environment.
  • Thorough understanding of documentation for Quality Checklists and ITP's and the ability to develop this documentation to suit tasks as required.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and an ability to collaborate with site engineering teams.
