Gamuda Engineering Australia, a subsidiary of Gamuda Berhad (Malaysia), is a reputable Engineering and Construction contractor that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport and Infrastructure projects. Gamuda Engineering Australia has established offices in Sydney and Melbourne to pursue and deliver a variety of construction projects and is currently delivering the Sydney Metro West – Western Tunnel Package and has also recently commenced work on the $1.35B Coffs Harbour Bypass and the $1.02B M1 Raymond Terrace Upgrade as part of a joint venture.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to support our growing HR team. Based in Sydney (with support across multiple projects), this role plays a key part in delivering efficient HR operations across the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide HR administration support to the company HR Lead, HR team, and all employees, across multiple offices and Projects as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR policies, procedures, programs and initiatives.
  • Support the HR team in conducting life cycle operations, including onboarding, probationary period reviews, performance appraisal, remuneration review, and offboarding.
  • Manage HRIS for accurate employment data and HR activities.
  • Maintain employee records and employment documentation.
  • Assist in payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Assist with HR reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage HR mailbox for receiving employee queries and issues.
  • Undertake general administrative functions including file management.

 

Your skills and experience

The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, is an excellent communicator, and has a passion for supporting people and process. You will have relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline and proven experience as a HR Administrator in a corporate environment including:

  • Demonstrated competency in HR administration processes and HRIS management.
  • Highly developed administrative skills and computer literacy, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build strong working relationships with the team, the client, and key stakeholders.
