About the role
Based between our head office and tender offices you will support the Submissions Manager, working closely with subject matter experts, project teams, and senior leadership, to develop compelling content, manage submission timelines, and ensure proposals showcase our capability, experience, and innovative approach
Specific activities will include:
Support development of content such as executive summaries, delivery methodology and capability statements, ensuring clear submission milestones are met.

Analyse tender documents and client requirements to determine response strategy, structure, and key messaging.

Write clear, concise, and compelling content for tender submissions

Integrate relevant interactive feedback into written submission responses.

Maintain a library of bid content including case studies, standard responses, CVs, and project examples.

Edit and proofread content for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand tone and compliance requirements.

Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), Bid Management and technical teams to gather accurate and relevant information.

Coordinate bid timelines and submissions, ensuring all deadlines are met and deliverables are reviewed and approved.

Collaborate with graphic designers and bid coordinators to ensure visually engaging and professionally presented submissions.

Participate in bid strategy and kick-off meetings, contributing to win themes and value propositions.

Coordinate tender meetings with stakeholders as required
Your skills and experience

You will be a detail-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and is confident managing multiple priorities. You will bring:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, business, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in tender/bid writing, preferably within civil engineering or construction.

Proven ability to write persuasively, translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.

Exceptional grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple submissions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with InDesign, Illustrator, or SharePoint will be highly regarded.

A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
