Job Description: 

Gamuda Australia is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to join the project team delivering the Parramatta Integrated Station Development (ISD) in Sydney.

This is a key opportunity to take a leading role in the management and implementation of BIM and digital engineering across a complex, multidisciplinary project incorporating significant building, services, infrastructure and station interfaces.

You will work closely with the Project Leadership, Design Management, Engineering, Construction, Services and Digital Engineering teams to ensure BIM is effectively integrated throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role:

As BIM Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, managing and maintaining BIM processes, standards and systems across the project. You will provide technical leadership to the BIM and Digital Engineering team and work closely with designers, consultants, subcontractors and construction teams to ensure coordinated and accurate digital information.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes across the Parramatta ISD project.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor BIM Execution Plans, project BIM standards and digital engineering requirements.
  • Manage multidisciplinary BIM coordination across architectural, structural, civil, MEP and specialist services disciplines.
  • Lead model coordination, clash detection and resolution processes.
  • Work closely with Design Managers, Project Engineers, Construction Managers and Services teams to resolve design and constructability issues.
  • Manage BIM deliverables, model reviews and information exchanges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with project information requirements, BIM standards and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate BIM requirements with consultants, designers, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Support the integration of BIM with construction planning, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
  • Drive the effective use of common data environments and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Provide BIM leadership and technical support to the project team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through digital engineering, automation and technology.
  • Support the development and implementation of digital engineering workflows and processes.
  • Manage BIM quality assurance, model audits and information validation.
  • Mentor and develop BIM Coordinators and other members of the Digital Engineering team.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced BIM professional who has worked on large-scale building, infrastructure or integrated development projects and can operate effectively across both design and construction environments.

You will ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in one of the following, or a related discipline in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Services, Digital Engineering
  • Extensive experience in BIM management within a major construction or engineering environment.
  • Experience working on complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong understanding of BIM methodologies, processes and information management.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating architectural, structural, civil and MEP models.
  • Strong understanding of design coordination and constructability.
  • Experience developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans and project BIM standards.
