The Role
We are looking for a civil supervisor on M1 project to manage internal crews and subcontractors to deliver ITS/TCS and street lighting scope inclusive of civil and electrical scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- 5+ years managing civil works for ITS/transport projects – ie, electrical and communications pit and pipe, piling, formwork and concreting for street light footings, roadside cabinets and switchboards to TfNSW standards
o R151 – Street Lighting
o R155 - Design And Construction Of Underground Cableways
o B80 Concrete works
- Installation of roadside cabinets and switchboards
- Standing sign structures, street lights
- Managing internal crews and subcontractors
- Planning works – able to schedule daily tasks, prepare a two week look ahead
- Ordering materials for civil works – sand, cement etc
- Client interaction – dealing with onsite Supervisors from Principal contractor
- Managing change to deal with last minute requests to meet on site demands
About You
• Electrical Licence or Equivalent experience
• Intelligent Transport Systems including an understanding of Electrical, control and communications
• Proven supervisory experience
• Commitment to the environment, quality and safety
• Outcome focused and thorough understanding of the factors affecting product and result
• Well-developed people management skills
• Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer focus ensuring profitable repeat business
• Organising and planning skills
• Cost control and budgeting skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of the rail industry
• Knowledge and understanding of quality systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Internet and Email
