Job Summary

Assist immediate superior in delegating works to subordinates, coordination of work with sub-contractors and monitor works for compliance with required specification standards.

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Oversee daily construction activities and ensure they align with project plans and schedules.
  2. Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  3. Ensure the site is organized, safe, and compliant with all regulations.
  4. Supervise and direct construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
  5. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure all team members understand their responsibilities.
  6. Conduct regular site meetings to discuss progress, issues, and safety concerns.
  7. Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications.
  8. Conduct regular inspections and address any defects or issues promptly.
  9. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
  10. Conduct safety briefings and ensure all personnel are aware of safety protocols.
  11. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions.
  12. Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site activities.
  13. Report daily progress, issues, and any potential delays to the Manager.
  14. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  15. Manage and coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and tools.
  16. Ensure proper utilization of resources to minimize waste and control costs.
  17. Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
  18. Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and displayed.
  19. Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
  20. Implement solutions to keep the project on track and within budget.
  21. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Qualifications

Diploma in (Hon) Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities

  • Basic computer Skills or equivalents.
  • Willing to learn, able to work independently, interested in site construction works, able to work extended hours.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of experience.
