About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Signalling Supervisor to join our team on the QTMP Project on the Gold Coast. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of signalling installation works across both site-based and off-site activities.
This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring signalling works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, circuit books, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), work instructions, and relevant rail standards.
You will play a critical role in coordinating labour, plant, and materials to meet programme requirements, while managing access constraints, isolations, and possession conditions within a live rail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day signalling installation activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, circuit books, ITPs, and rail standards
- Plan and allocate labour, plant, and materials to maintain programme and optimise productivity across multiple work fronts
- Lead and enforce safe working practices, including compliance with SWMS, permits, rail safety requirements, isolations, and access conditions
- Ensure all works meet quality assurance requirements, specifications, and hold points, including participation in audits, site briefings, and incident investigations
- Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Engineer to optimise sequencing, minimise possession durations, and identify and escalate risks, constraints, and interface issues
About You
- Proven experience supervising signalling installation works within rail projects, ideally across greenfield and/or brownfield environments
- Strong technical understanding of signalling systems, including circuit books, design documentation, and installation practices (e.g. Microlok, axle counters)
- Demonstrated experience working within a Queensland Rail (QR) environment, with knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
- Solid understanding of rail safety requirements, QA processes, and ITPs, with the ability to manage multiple crews and work fronts simultaneously
- Relevant Railway Signalling Licence (or equivalent), strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to meet rail medical and safety-critical worker requirements
