ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Project Manager, we have a new opportunity for a Superintendent to provide day to day management and supervision of the site based workforce and carry our engineering and management duties. Responsibilities will be across the MTM network and will ensure all crews are delivering works efficiently, safely and in accordance with MTM engineering and Rail Safety National Law
Key Responsibilities
• Select project personnel, allocate work, monitor progress, and have overall responsibility for ensuring that the following functions are carried out effectively
• The provision of assistance with the scheduling and planning of projects within approved budgets
• The handling and resolution of queries from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• identification and estimation of plant, labour, material and sub contract resources.
• Day to day management of the workforce under direct and indirect control
• Make decisions within the guidelines established by DTI policies, practices and procedures and the relevant Awards, Acts, Regulations and Agreements
• Prepare accurate and timely narrative monthly reports that contain movements and progress
• Contribute to deliver a HSE environment.
About you
• Appropriate Track Safe Working Certification
• Strong experience in developing renewal methodology
• Supervisory experience of track activities.
• Prior programming and planning experience of track works.
• Management of large work forces on and off site
• Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed planning skills.
• Ability to use initiative and prioritise workload.
• Ability to undertake risk management process.
