ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Pe, we have an opportunity for a Site Engineer to manage day-to-day site coordination, technical support, quality assurance, safety compliance, and subcontractor management. Furthermore you will support site teams effectively, and safeguard programme delivery, quality, and safety standards on the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop strategic alliances with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with time, budget and quality requirements
• Effectively manage and monitor construction performance and progress
• Assist with the production and administration of ITP’s and other documents / process / procedures / testing / auditing as required under the project Quality Management Plan & Contract
• Non-conformances (NCR’s) are raised & corrected within prescribed timeframes
• Requests for information (RFI’s) are closed within prescribed timeframes
• Continually review, audit and reinforce DT Infrastructure’s Safety and Environmental objectives and requirements.
• Maintain (and develop where necessary) records and logs of inspections, audits, training, incidents, hazards, meetings and similar safety related topics.
About You
• Bachelor of Engineering Degree
• Minimum of 2 years engineering experience in the construction industry
• Project planning skills
• Demonstrable and successful experience in a business/project operations management role gained at a similar level
• Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to review and develop new processes and streamline transactional activities
• Ability to contribute to the preparation of operational budgets
• Experience in researching and understanding complex information to develop and implement project solutions
• Working knowledge and understanding of OH&S and employee relations legislation
• Experience in developing tender documentation
