About the role
We are seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join our Richmond Road Upgrade project. In this hands-on role, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities, working closely with supervisors, subcontractors and the wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently while contributing to the successful delivery of this major road infrastructure project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities in accordance with approved designs, specifications and TfNSW standards.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation to support construction delivery.
- Preparing work packs, inspection and test plans (ITPs), permits and other engineering documentation.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site crews to ensure works are delivered safely on time and to the required quality standards.
- Monitoring construction progress and assisting with short-term planning, programming and reporting.
- Supporting quality assurance activities, including inspections, hold points, testing and completion of project records.
- Identifying and resolving on-site engineering issues in collaboration with the project team and designers.
- Promoting a strong culture of health, safety, environmental compliance and quality across all site activities.
Your Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major infrastructure projects, ideally within road construction.
- Sound knowledge of civil construction practices, including earthworks, pavements, drainage, utilities and traffic staging.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with supervisors, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes.
