Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager Golf is responsible for managing the day-to-day Golf and Club experience include Golf course. Oversees the management and performance of golf operation and applicable department operations and services to assure high standards and total customer satisfaction. Be a details-oriented team leader with strong guest-centric, business and organisational skills along with a passion for the game of golf. Develops all golf operations department budget including past performances and forecasts to see that all financial goals are met as per guidelines, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor with the day-to-day operation of the overall golf operation.
- Work co-operatively and collaboratively with others team member, sharing and co-ordinating work tasks, building relationships and contributing jointly to the overall effectiveness and success of the team.
- Oversees and enforces the golf operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
- Oversees the supervision of the maintenance of golf carts and golf operations personnel.
- Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Strives to improve service performance.
- Shows leadership in hospitality, excellent customer service, and creating positive atmosphere for guest relations. Schedules and chairs regular staff meetings focused on customers, operations, revenue growth, cost containment and continuous improvement.
- Occasionally plays golf with members, or clients of all skill levels to encourage enthusiasm.
- Establishes guidelines for golf operations for team to easily understand expectations and parameters.
- Maintaining budget cost, wage cost and support the company sales effort to drive top line revenue.
- Prepares monthly budgets for golf sales promotion, daily golf and tournaments.
- Builds relationships with key person in members, organizer, others departments, management etc.
- Assist the team and management to ensure all club golf event or corporate event competitions.
- Liaise with others department if required.
- Be available to members to assist with various needs questions, maintaining the relationships.
- Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to SOP.
- Ensures employees are treated fairly and equitably.
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
- To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and workplace as required by the Company.
- Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in closely related field.

- Must have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and personable.
- Self-motivated with the desire to promote and market.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

- Experience successfully managing a large staff.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Golf Operation.
