About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of our Richmond Road Upgrade project. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead construction engineering activities and support the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of works across multiple complex interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading construction engineering activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and TfNSW standards.
- Preparing and managing construction budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
- Interpreting design documentation and developing practical construction methodologies and staging plans.
- Leading delivery of scope with an underlying focus on safety, risk assessment and detailed planning.
- Monitoring program performance and ensuring engineering deliverables are completed within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Leading, mentoring and supporting Project Engineers and junior engineering staff.
- Promoting a strong culture of HSE, environmental management, sustainability, quality and community engagement across the project.
Your Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer on Tier 1 infrastructure projects, ideally within road construction.
- Strong technical capability across bulk earthworks, structures, traffic staging, services coordination and subcontractor management.
- Strong cost management skills including cost tracking, forecasting, trend analysis and cost reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a high-performing team environment.
- Strong program skills including interface management, critical path analysis, production metrics and reporting cycle inputs
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong commitment to safety and quality outcomes.
