The Role

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the technical, regulatory and project management of connecting renewable power generating facilities to the NEM. This will involve project managing grid studies consultants, providing technical input and expertise and development of commissioning test plans. Key deliverables will include:
•    Input into the development of project delivery plans including oversight of grid connection timeframes, budgets and risk.
•    Coordination with equipment suppliers, TNSPs, AEMO, development partners and the construction delivery teams.
•    Providing technical engineering support to the procurement, development, construction and commissioning teams.
•    Ensuring regulatory and technical compliance is achieved.
•    Leading the R1 registration process with external grid consultants

 

Your skills and experience

You will have a tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering or a related field with experience in design and delivery of power generation projects including: 
•    Strong understanding of the NEM grid connection process including GPS negotiation, generator registration, modelling and R2 compliance testing.
•    Proven experience in dynamic and steady-state power systems studies using PSCAD, PSSE and PowerFactory.
•    Well developed project management and communication skills.
