About the Project: Carmody's Hill Wind Farm

 

DT Infrastructure has been awarded the full Balance of Plant scope for the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in the Mid North region of South Australia. 

The 256 MW utility-scale wind farm, developed by Aula Energy and Renewable Project Services, is scheduled to commence construction in early 2026, with operations expected to begin in late 2028. 

About the Position

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join us on this once in a generation project! Reporting to the Project Director, you'll be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the Carmody's Hill Wind Farm project through the development and management of integrated schedules and project controls, enabling proactive decision-making and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. 

This is a permanent full-time position with DTI and there will be opportunities to grow and move onto future projects.  There will be an opportunity for either DIDO from SA working on a 5:2 roster or FIFO from WA on a 2:1 roster. The project site will be in Georgetown, SA. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain fully integrated master schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases. 
  • Establish realistic baselines that reflect approved scope, methodology, productivity assumptions and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate planning workshops to validate sequencing, identify constraints and confirm delivery strategies.
  • Ensure schedules incorporate key contractual milestones, interfaces, third party dependencies and access constraints.
  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules and identify deviations at the earliest opportunity.
  • Develop recovery programmes in collaboration with delivery teams
  • Ensure schedules are contractually compliant and suitable for demonstrating entitlement.  
  • Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor claims relating to delay or productivity impacts.

To be successful:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline (preferred). 
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent enterprise scheduling software. 
  • Project Controls or Planning certifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in planning, scheduling or project controls within construction, infrastructure, rail or major projects environments.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary project schedules. 
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, interfaces and delivery risk. 
  • Experience supporting tender planning and live project controls.
