About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior People Advisor, to join our growing Rail division based in Brisbane. As a Senior People Advisor, you will partner with leaders across our Rail division to provide expert advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. A key focus of the role will be managing industrial and employee relations matters, supporting enterprise agreement obligations, and fostering productive relationships with leaders, unions and workforce representatives.

 

You will collaborate with the broader Rail People team to implement strategic people initiatives that enable DT Infrastructure to achieve its business objectives while supporting a positive and compliant workplace culture.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on employee relations, industrial relations and people management matters.
  • Support the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Awards, legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with unions and employee representatives, assisting with consultation and workforce engagement activities.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes and performance management.
  • Partner with leaders on talent management, succession planning, organisational development and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Support remuneration reviews, employee benefits programs and broader people strategy initiatives.

Experience and capabilitie

  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior HR Advisor, People Advisor or HR Business Partner position.
  • Strong Industrial Relations and Employee Relations experience, ideally within construction, rail, infrastructure, engineering, mining or other blue-collar environments.
  • Experience working with unions and employee representatives, including enterprise agreement interpretation and consultation processes.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements and HR best practice.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach and build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
