Job Summary

  • Responsible for the administration, maintenance, sustenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System and Occupational Safety & Health Management System in accordance with the OSHA Act 514 and Factory & Machinery Act 139 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the Quality Management System and Occupational
  • Safety & Health Management System through liaison with divisional anddepartment and assist in the same at project site.
  • To carry out the Safety & Health Compliance Audit at project sitesaccording to Audit Plan.
  • To coordinate and carry out the Safety & Health Inspections at project sites.
  • To assist in establishing the Safety & Health Procedures, Instruction andPlan for project sites
  • To coordinate, collate information and prepare required reports for Management Review involving project site.
  • To organize the SH Committee meeting at sites and prepare the necessary arrangement.
  • To coordinate and ensuring the In-house Emergency Response Team at sites is ever prepared to handle any emergencies by conducting trainings,
  • drills and ensure actions taken to improve.
  • Monitor and ensure contractors aware, understand and comply with the
  • safety & health requirements at sites.
  • To investigate incidents, execute the preparation of investigation report.
  • Follow up on the implementation of action plan.
  • To collate Safety & Health related information, compile, analyze the data and propose improvement actions.
  • To report the Safety & Health performance at project sites
  • To provide input for continuous improvement on the Safety & Health Management System
  • Assist on preparation of safety & health related reports and minutes of meeting.
  • To carry out other duties that relating to Gamuda Land quality system assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Occupational Safety & Health or other related discipline Trained as Auditor in Safety & Health Management Systems

Skills & Abilities

  • Well versed in Local Regulatory requirements, OSHA Act 514 and Factory and Machinery Act 139 and safety & health
  • implementation in construction
  • Well versed in working with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu (written and oral)

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

  • 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in safety & health management of construction
