Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Senior Executive, Training is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing training and development initiatives to enhance employee capabilities, performance, and organizational effectiveness. This role supports the design of learning strategies aligned with business goals and ensures compliance with regulatory training requirements where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

 

Training Needs Analysis (TNA) & Delivery

  • Collaborate with Heads of Department (HODs) to identify competency gaps and specific training requirements.
  • Design and update training materials, including presentation slides, participant guides, and job aids.
  • Conduct internal soft skills or orientation training sessions as needed.

Training Coordination & Logistics

  • Develop and manage the Annual Training Calendar aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate all training logistics, including venue booking, equipment setup, and participant registrations.
  • Liaise with external training providers and consultants regarding course outlines, quotations, and scheduling.
  • Deliver foundational training sessions and facilitate learning activities to support employee development.

Administration & Evaluation

  • Maintain accurate and current training records, including attendance, certifications, and databases.
  • Administer post-training evaluations to assess effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Prepare monthly training reports for management review.

HRDC Compliance & Fund Management

  • Lead the HRDC grant application and claim processes, ensuring all documentation complies with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor the levy balance to maximize the company’s utilization of HRDC funds.
  • Stay informed on HRDC circulars and policy updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

General HR Support

  • Address employee inquiries regarding training opportunities and career development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the HR department’s objectives.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psyhcology or a related field.

  • Proven experience in HR operations or a similar HR support role. 

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), particularly strong Excel skills. 

Skills & Abilities

  • More than 5 years' service/experience in training and development.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in HRDC application including e-TRiS system navigation and claim processes.
  • Good analytical and organizational abilities
