Job Summary
In this role, you will be the core technical driver of the project's scheduling framework, leading the development, optimisation, and day-to-day management of the master schedule to ensure the successful delivery of a complex, fast-paced, large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will possess advanced mastery in Primavera P6, a deep understanding of fast-track construction sequencing, and specialised knowledge of data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Schedule Development & Baseline Management
● Maintain and regular updates of the integrated project network diagram using Primavera P6.
● Establish and manage the performance measurement baseline, ensuring logical ties, constraints, and sequencing fully align with contractual milestones.
● Review, validate, and integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the master Primavera P6 program, ensuring logic integrity, realistic durations, and accurate resource loading.
2. Progress Monitoring & Advanced Reporting
● Track and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against the approved baseline utilising Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
● Conduct routine site walkthroughs and interface directly with site engineers and subcontractors to verify physical progress versus reported data.
● Generate comprehensive project controls deliverables, including detailed progress reports, S-curves, resource histograms, and executive dashboard presentations for management and client stakeholders.
3. Critical Path, Productivity & Delay Analysis
● Perform rigorous Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, closely monitoring manhours, float consumption, and productivity metrics to flag potential schedule slippages and long-lead procurement risks early.
● Conduct detailed Time Impact Analysis (TIA) to quantify the schedule impact of change orders, variations, and unforeseen delays, providing robust, substantiated data to support Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
● Collaborate closely with the project management team to formulate recovery schedules, crashing/fast-tracking strategies, and mitigation programs when variances occur. 4. Stakeholder Coordination & Mentorship
● Facilitate look-ahead scheduling meetings with internal execution teams and subcontractors to drive short-term target alignment.
● Interface seamlessly with procurement, engineering, and testing & commissioning (T&C) teams to ensure equipment delivery and energisation sequences are accurately synchronised within P6.
● Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior planners or site engineers on planning best practices and P6 mechanics.
- To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
- Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
Qualifications
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
● Technical Proficiency: * Expert-level mastery of Primavera P6 (mandatory) ○ Familiarity with data visualisation tools is a significant plus.
● Certifications: PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities
● Analytical Thinking: Exceptional capability to interpret complex data sets, identify productivity bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis on delays, and translate data into actionable insights.
● Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex schedule risks, critical path shifts, and mitigation strategies to project leadership and subcontractors.
● Resilience & Agility: Proven track record of thriving in high-pressure, fast-tracked project environments with evolving priorities and stringent deadlines.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
Minimum of 6–10 years of hands-on planning and scheduling experience in large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or commercial construction (data center experience is highly preferred).
