Job Summary
The Senior Engineer – Logistics, Manufacturing/Operations is responsible for applying advanced engineering principles to design, implement, and optimize the end-to-end material flow, warehousing, and transportation processes within the manufacturing and operational environment. This role involves analyzing complex logistics challenges, developing innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials and finished goods. The Senior Engineer will collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams, contributing significantly to operational excellence and overall supply chain effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing material flow, warehousing, and transportation processes within manufacturing operations to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Design, develop, and implement optimized logistics processes, layouts, and automation solutions (e.g., AGVs, automated storage/retrieval systems) to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Conduct capacity planning, simulation, and lean studies to optimize material handling and storage. Lead initiatives to optimize warehouse layouts, storage strategies, and material handling procedures for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

Implement and improve inventory management strategies (e.g., JIT, Kanban, safety stock optimization) to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs. Drive improvements in inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, and WMS optimization.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited institution.

Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations Research) is a plus.

Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, inventory management, and transportation optimization.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience
3 Years and above in relevant working Experience
