About the role

Looking for a commercial role where you can take real ownership of complex contracts on a major rail program?

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) at Ormeau.

Working as part of the project's commercial team, you'll support the implementation of commercial strategies while taking an active role in the day-to-day administration of contracts. The position spans procurement, subcontract administration, claims and variations, cost control, forecasting and head contract administration, giving you broad commercial exposure across the project lifecycle.

You'll work closely with project leadership, delivery teams, subcontractors and suppliers to protect DTI's commercial position while supporting successful project outcomes. With QTMP providing a complex major-project environment, this is an opportunity to apply strong commercial judgement, influence key decisions and further develop your career within DT Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract administration including correspondence, notices, variations, progress claims, payment schedules and final accounts
• Lead procurement activities including tender packages, tender analysis, commercial negotiations and recommendations for award
• Support head contract administration, including contractual correspondence, notices, claims, variations and accurate contract registers
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, forecasts and cost-to-complete while providing commercial insight into project performance
• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks, maintaining accurate records to support claims, change and dispute avoidance
• Build effective relationships with project teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers while providing practical commercial advice

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a similar tertiary qualification
• 7+ years' experience in a commercial role within a large organisation, ideally within construction or major infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts and contractual mechanisms, with sound commercial judgement
• Demonstrated experience across subcontract administration, procurement, claims, variations, cost control and final accounts
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and manage commercial risk
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to work effectively across project teams, clients and supply chain partners
