About the role
DT Infrastructure is seeking an accomplished Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of a major renewable energy project in North Queensland.
Based in our Brisbane Head Office and reporting to the Commercial Director across Renewables projects in Queensland, you will provide strategic commercial leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Partnering closely with the Project Director, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy, safeguarding contractual entitlements, leading procurement and contract management activities, driving financial performance, and ensuring robust commercial governance across the project.
Leading a high-performing commercial team, you'll mentor and develop Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers and Contracts Administrators while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. This is a rare opportunity to shape the commercial success of a nationally significant renewable energy project while contributing to the continued growth of DT Infrastructure's renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project's commercial strategy, governance and contractual performance from project commencement through to completion.
- Partner with the Project Director to manage commercial risk, financial performance, procurement strategy and contractual compliance.
- Provide leadership and development to the project commercial team, fostering capability, collaboration and high performance.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations, claims, variations and dispute resolution while protecting DT Infrastructure's contractual position.
- Drive commercial reporting, forecasting, cost management and continuous improvement to deliver successful project outcomes.
About you
- A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience leading the commercial function on major infrastructure, civil construction or renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated success developing commercial strategies, managing complex contracts and delivering strong financial and commercial outcomes.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary commercial teams and building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, clients and supply chain partners.
- Outstanding commercial acumen, negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of Australian construction contracts, procurement and commercial risk management.
