Job Summary
As part of Group Information Services, this role reports to the Manager – Enterprise Solutions and supports the implementation and rollout of SAP S/4HANA across the Gamuda Group of Companies.
The Assistant Manager – Enterprise Solutions (SAP MM & Innovation) is a hybrid role responsible for the end-to-end stability of the SAP S/4HANA MM module, balancing traditional functional support with the next generation of digital transformation. This role oversees the design, configuration, and integration of procurement, subcontracting, and claim management processes while spearheading AI-driven R&D to automate purchase orders and streamline complex construction workflows. By aligning SAP best practices with emerging technologies, the incumbent ensures high-quality deliverables and a seamless user experience that supports Gamuda’s long-term strategic needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the system implementation partner and be responsible for the SAP MM rollout to meet business needs as defined in the project business case.
- Coordinate with external implementation partners to execute and deploy the project solution to a live environment.
- Provide functional and process expertise to bridge business requirements with SAP system design, covering master data, procurement, subcontracting, claim management, purchase-on-behalf, workflows, inventory management, logistics invoice verification, OCR solutions, and customized processes.
- Manage SAP project activities including requirements gathering, feasibility studies, solution design, system configuration, testing, user authorization design, data migration, cutover planning, post-go-live support, and documentation
- AI-Enhanced Experience: Research and implement AI technologies to create a more seamless, intuitive user experience for managing complex SAP MM approval workflows.
- PO Automation R&D: Spearhead initiatives to utilize AI/RPA for automating Purchase Order (PO) creation, aiming to reduce manual entry errors and improve procurement velocity.
- Process Digitalization: Identify manual "bottlenecks" within the current SAP landscape and propose AI-driven or automated solutions to digitize these tasks.
- Support and manage system integration with other SAP modules (e.g. SD, PS, FICO) and external applications (e.g. Analytics platforms, SAP Ariba, Fiori).
- Assist the Enterprise Solutions Manager in building internal capabilities to support future SAP MM rollouts across the group.
- Provide post go-live support by managing daily service desk tickets, including issue investigation, resolution, change requests, enhancements, reports, interfaces, data migration, forms, and workflows.
- Act as a key liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure effective communication and solution delivery.
- Provide ad-hoc training and user support to promote system adoption and effective usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Quality, Safety & Health, and Environmental requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines
- At least two (2) full-cycle end-to-end SAP MM implementations
- Experience in SAP ABAP technical development and SAP SD is an added advantage
- SAP S/4HANA experience or knowledge preferred

Expected Minimum Years of Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SAP implementation and/or support projects.
