About the role


DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Quality Manager, to deliver consistent application across the lifecycle of Rail Business opportunities and projects, and can be based, preferably, in Melbourne or Perth.

The primary objective of this role is to develop, implement and manage Quality Management processes, practices, plans and procedures in accordance with the principles of DTI’s Integrated Management System (IMS).

Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Drive a proactive and scope appropriate approach to the management of quality assurance and quality control to satisfy contract requirements and deliver project outcomes.
  • Lead, manage, assess and report on the project quality management processes and assist in the enhancements to design, construction and commercial outcomes.
  •  Provide effective advice to project staff on the implementation of Project Plans, IMS and compliance with the contract requirements, relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice. Ensure Project Plans accurately reflect Project context and scope.
  • Assess and audit consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors’ quality systems for compliance with the Project's quality and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure the project's system/quality training activities are planned and delivered to meet current and future organisation and employee needs.
  • Assist the project in the establishment and maintenance of Project Execution plans; ensure key stakeholders understand the requirements of the IMS and quality requirements within the project.
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and operationally with projects subject to TAO and other State / State organisation requirements.

Experience and capabilities

 

  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline & certified Lead Auditor preferred
  • Extensive operational experience (7 years minimum) in the development application of quality systems and principles and practical application of associated risk management processes in multi disciplined Rail projects.
  • Significant experience across all Engineering life cycle phases from proposal through design and delivery to completion and handover.
  • Experience across a variety of Rail operators and jurisdictions strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing Quality through to project completion and handover in the Rail environment.
  • High level of understanding of Rail Transport Operator (RTO) and other key industry client requirements with respect to Quality Management.
