About the role

 

Reporting to the SPE/PM we are seeking a qualified Project Engineer with Bulk Earthworks/civils experience to join the delivery team on the Goulburn River Solar Farm Project. This is a Site-based position on a major renewable energy construction project with a rostered working arrangement, with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable. DIDO 2/1 Roster.

Key Responsibilities

•    Plan, coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with time, budget and quality requirements
•    Effectively manage and monitor construction performance and progress 
•    Preparation of progress and compliance reporting 
•    Interpret designs for construction implementation and contribute to improvements to existing designs
•    Coordinate and supervise technical aspects of the project
•    Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports 
•    Verification of subcontractors' claims and variations 
•    Effective management of work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes
•    Execute a working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project

Qualifications & Capabilities

•    Bachelor of Civil Engineering Qualification
•    Be a member of, or eligible to be a member of Engineers Australia
•    Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in the construction industry, and Earthworks 
•    Demonstrated ability in proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
•    Ability to review and develop new processes and streamline transactional activities 
•    Interpretation and application of technical / contractual conditions and company policies and procedures  
•    Project planning; organisational and time management 
•    Ability to work autonomously and within a team
