About the role

Due to large scale projects coming online, we are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Project Engineers interested in joining DT Infrastructure to support our High Capacity Signalling team. This role is a full time position where you will be working Monday to Friday and will be based in Stirling Street, Perth.

About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic, IT or Telecommunication

  • Eligibility for or working towards Engineers Australia Chartered Status (CPEng/RPEQ) preferre

  • Current RIW accreditation (preferred)

  • Knowledge of the DAD SIM software and the Citect SCADA / Ecostructure Control Expert

  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience with demonstrated capability in Operational Technology (IMS and Traction Power SCADA).

  • Experience with Australian rail projects (e.g., PTA WA, ARTC, NSW, MTM, QR) highly regarded.

  • Experience in delivering Operational Technology related work packages

  • Knowledge of Safety in Design, WHS, MS office software and ISO 9001 quality management systems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in design and construction from a project-based position or role.

  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering and design processes, encompassing all aspects of project delivery, with a keen awareness of contractual requirements.

  • Experience in researching and understanding complex information to develop and implement delivery solution

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as EN 50126 (RAMS in railway applications), EN 50128 (Software in railway control), and EN 50129 (Safety in railway signalling).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all project design, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities both off-site and on site for all project stages: enabling, staging, final and removals works for Operational Technology, as follows:

  • Ensure all works are undertaken in a safe manner and as per WH&S and Rail National Safety Act requirements

  • Ensure DT Infrastructure, Client and/or RIM and all other applicable specifications, contract, standards and practices are achieve

  • Support delivery of Operational Technology scope which includes creation of specification, hardware descriptions, design, construction and testing documentations for IMS (SCADA), Traction Power SCADA, and signalling interfaces

  • Prepare, Review Operational Technology related documentation and deliverables produced by internal team, subcontractors for the given scope on time and budget

  • Inspect, review and audit site work to ensure construction and installation is as per the design and safety documentation (permit to dig, SWMS, JSEAs, SSMPs, etc.)
