Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate delivery of legacy systems to support migration to Early Control Centre and CBTC signalling systems, including
- Preparation of legacy system scopes of work
- Co-ordinate design reviews between legacy system and the ECC and CBTC signalling systems
- Co-ordinate delivery reviews for legacy system configuration, software delivery, and testing both at factory and site
- Collaborate closely with systems engineering, system safety, project management, and configuration teams
- Ensure legacy system scope, interfaces, and integration activities are captured in project schedules and delivery baselines
- Monitor progress, identify scope gaps or emerging risks, and drive corrective actions
- Support technical issue resolution relating to legacy system integration
- Uphold strong health, safety, quality, and assurance standards aligned with project and alliance values
About You
This role is well suited to a Project Engineer who has worked on rail or infrastructure projects and enjoys coordinating across multiple disciplines.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related discipline)
- Around 5 years’ experience in engineering/project delivery, ideally within the rail industry
- Exposure to Australian rail projects (PTA WA, ARTC, NSW, MTM, QR highly regarded)
- Experience across systems engineering and project delivery lifecycles
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with interface and integration management artefacts (e.g. ICDs, integration plans, interface registers)
- Eligibility for or progress toward Engineers Australia Chartered status (CPEng/RPEQ)
- Rail Industry Worker (RIW) accreditation
