About the Project
DT Infrastructure has been awarded the design and construction of the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm in South Australia, including both the Wind Farm Facility and Dedicated Network Asset.
The project scope includes 42 Wind Turbine Generators with associated civil works, 33kV underground reticulation, a 33kV/275kV substation, O&M facility, and two permanent met masts. It also involves the construction of 12.8km of 275kV overhead transmission line and the Carmody’s Hill Switching Station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and administer electrical engineering construction activities to ensure assigned work packages meet programme, budget, and quality requirements.
- Prepare detailed scopes of work, technical documentation, estimates, and construction methodologies.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource utilisation, while proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigations.
- Coordinate interfaces between different disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to solve project challenges and ensure collaborative delivery.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), RFIs, and lot management, driving the timely resolution of defects and quality issues.
- Ensure all works comply with contractual obligations, legislation, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
- Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to provide clear technical advice, manage expectations, and support informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and risk assessments, taking personal responsibility for planning and executing activities safely.
About You
Essential
- You hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- You are eligible for membership with Engineers Australia in the electrical discipline.
- You bring typically 3 to 5 or more years of experience in electrical construction or infrastructure projects.
- You have a proven track record of managing electrical engineering scopes or work packages.
- You possess strong technical and analytical capabilities, backed by a solid understanding of electrical systems, methodologies, and installation standards.
- You have working knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and project controls.
- You are a proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused individual who exercises sound professional judgement and attention to detail.
- You are highly adaptable and resilient in dynamic project environments, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
Desirable
- You have experience supporting junior personnel and coordinating teams in project delivery.
- You bring strong commercial awareness and advanced problem-solving abilities to help manage competing project priorities.
