Job Summary

• Role Purpose: Bridge the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard Development: Design and implement interactive, high-performance dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Looker.
• Data Modeling: Develop and optimize specialized data models to ensure accurate and fast reporting.
• Requirement Gathering: Partner with business users to translate vague business questions into technical data requirements.
• ETL & Data Integration: Write complex SQL queries and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to pull data from various sources into a centralized reporting layer.
• Maintenance & Quality Assurance: Perform regular data audits to ensure "single source of truth" accuracy and troubleshoot any report performance issues.
• Training & Documentation: Create technical documentation for data lineage and provide training to end-users on how to navigate and interpret dashboards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Full Cycle: Experience with the whole process: extracting data, cleaning it and visualizing it.

Skills & Abilities

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to deconstruct complex business problems and identify the underlying data patterns.
• Visual Storytelling: A strong eye for design and the ability to present data in a way that is intuitive and tells a clear story.
• Attention to Detail: Rigorous commitment to data integrity; a "zero-error" mindset regarding financial or operational metrics.
• Communication: Capable of explaining technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, persuasive manner.
• Technical Skills
  • BI Platforms: Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (DAX/Power Query), or Looker.
  • Database Management: Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, stored procedures).
  • Data Architecture: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Programming (Optional but Preferred): Basic knowledge of Python or R for advanced statistical analysis.
