About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Planning Manager to play a pivotal role in our pre-contracts team, driving programme excellence across major bids and tenders.
Working closely with bid, commercial and delivery teams, you will develop robust, competitive project programmes that clearly demonstrate methodology, risk mitigation and client value. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence successful project outcomes.
Specific activities will include:
- Lead the development of detailed tender programmes and methodologies
- Collaborate with bid teams to define construction sequencing, logistics and key milestones
- Analyse project risks and opportunities, providing strategic planning input
- Review tender documentation to ensure alignment with programme assumptions
- Provide planning support during bid presentations and client engagements
- Ensure consistency, accuracy and innovation across all pre-contract planning outputs
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a Planning Manager or Senior Planner role within construction or infrastructure
- Strong background in pre-contracts, tenders and bid planning
- Advanced proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6 or similar)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining strong attention to detail
