Job Summary

To manage and oversee the financial reporting processes, specializing in the analysis and compilation of group financial figures, while ensuring adherence to accounting standards. The role requires a deep understanding of financial reporting standards, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks, including ad-hoc assignments. The Finance Executive will play a key role in supporting senior management with accurate financial insights and reports.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including group consolidation and analysis of financial results.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring accurate representation of financial performance.
    • Compile and consolidate financial data from various departments and entities within the group, ensuring timely submission of all reporting requirements.
    • Generate and analyze project cash flow statements, profit and loss (P&L) statements, and other financial reports.
    • Standards Interpretation & Compliance
    • Ensure financial reports comply with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, MFRS) and other relevant regulations.
    • Provide in-depth interpretation of financial reporting standards
    • Multitasking & Ad-Hoc Reporting
    • Demonstrate strong adaptability in managing multiple tasks and assignments with tight deadlines.
    • Provide accurate and timely ad-hoc financial analysis and reports for internal stakeholders and management.
  • Assist in various finance-related projects, including system improvements, internal audits, and any special reporting requests.
    • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to gather and analyze financial data.
    • Support management by providing actionable financial insights for strategic decision-making.
    • Participate in meetings with auditors and other external parties to ensure transparency and compliance.
    • To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
    • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) preferred

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance roles, with a focus on construction project finance or audit experience.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, including project cash flow management and P&L analysis.
