Job Summary
The Senior Engineer - R&D - Corporate Development is responsible for leveraging deep technical expertise in research and development to identify, evaluate, and support strategic growth initiatives for the organization. This pivotal role bridges the gap between cutting-edge technology and corporate strategy, focusing on assessing the technical viability, innovation potential, and strategic fit of potential mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and new ventures. The Senior Engineer will work closely with the Corporate Development team, R&D leadership, and business unit leaders to provide critical technical insights that drive informed investment decisions and accelerate the company's long-term strategic expansion.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and conduct in-depth technical due diligence on potential M&A targets, strategic partners, or new venture opportunities, assessing their R&D capabilities, technology stack, intellectual property (IP) portfolio, and product/process maturity.

Evaluate the technical feasibility, scalability, and integration challenges of external technologies or solutions. Identify technical risks and potential synergies between the company's existing R&D efforts and external opportunities.

Proactively monitor emerging technologies, scientific breakthroughs, and industry trends relevant to the company's strategic interests and R&D roadmap. Identify potential technology partners, startups, or research institutions for collaboration, investment, or acquisition.

Assess the commercial potential and technical readiness levels of internal R&D projects for potential spin-offs or new business incubation.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Software, Materials Science, Biomedical) or a relevant scientific discipline from an accredited institution.

Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or scientific field is highly preferred.

Proven experience in research and development, product development, or advanced engineering roles.

Strong understanding of the company's core technologies, products, and industry landscape.
