Position Overview
We are seeking a technically astute and commercially-minded Solution Pre-Sales professional to join our sales division. This role is the primary technical resource for our sales team and is a critical link between our clients' business needs and our technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, architecting compelling solutions, and delivering powerful presentations and demonstrations. You will work alongside our Account Managers to ensure the proposed solutions are technically sound, viable, and provide significant value to our clients, ultimately driving sales success.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery & Analysis:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify business opportunities from a technical standpoint.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to deeply understand their business challenges, existing infrastructure, and desired outcomes.
- Translate complex customer requirements into functional and technical specifications
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Design and architect robust, scalable, and tailored solutions for clients using Gamuda Technologies' product suite and services.
- Develop solution architecture diagrams, Bills of Materials (BoM), and technical proposals that clearly articulate the value and functionality of the proposed solution.
- Ensure technical feasibility and alignment of the solution with the client's strategic goals and budget
Presentations & Demonstrations:
- Develop and deliver compelling, high-impact product demonstrations and technical presentations to key stakeholders, from technical staff to C-level executives.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilot projects to showcase the solution's capabilities in the client's environment
Proposal & Tender Management:
- Take ownership of the technical response for Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and formal tenders.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive technical content for proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements
Collaboration & Market Feedback:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to both clients and internal sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
- Provide valuable feedback from the field to our Product Management and Engineering teams to influence future product development and strategy.
Qualifications
Experience:
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a Solution Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting role within the IT/technology sector.
- Proven track record of supporting sales teams to achieve revenue targets
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Abilities
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and concepts.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Cloud Computing Platforms (GCP)
- Enterprise Software (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRMS)
- Cybersecurity Solutions (e.g., Firewalls, EDR, SIEM)
- Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Network Infrastructure and Architectur
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
