We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our continued growth and success. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning for Gamuda Technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of financial systems, regulatory compliance, and the unique financial aspects of a technology company, including intellectual property (IP) accounting, product sales, and service revenue recognition. The ideal candidate will also be adept at monitoring strategic investments and analyzing internal resource utilization to drive efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place and maintained.
- Develop and implement strategic financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the company's growth objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ensure the company's financial practices adhere to all relevant local and international government regulations and statutory requirements.
- Obtain and maintain all necessary government compliances and licenses required for business operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
- Actively monitor and report on the performance of strategic investments, such as joint ventures (e.g., Gamuda-DNEX) and strategic partnerships (e.g., Cloudspace).
- Develop and implement methodologies for monitoring internal resource utilization.
- Establish and refine unit cost models for staff time and involvement in projects and services, providing critical data for pricing and profitability analysis.
- Optimize financial processes and leverage SAP S4Hana capabilities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting. Creating dashboards in PowerBI to facilitate transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated experience working in a technology company is essential.
- Proven expertise in SAP S4Hana is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to intellectual property (IP) development, software product sales, and IT service revenue recognition.
- Experience with financial, forecasting, and strategic planning.
