Job Summary
Manages and drives BIM initiatives in project/organisation in accordance to the overall resources, timelines, standards, and client/organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Vision:
- Develop BIM initiatives, capabilities, and strategies aligned with market, government, industry, project, and organizational requirements.
- Provide strategic and resource planning to ensure the successful delivery of BIM deliverables in project and organisation.
- Drive the implementation of BIM and related digital initiatives aligning with the overall business objectives and company’s direction.
2. Team Management and Development:
- Provide leadership, training, advice and guidance to grow team skillset, improve productivity and efficiency.
- Support career development, coaching, and mentoring of subordinates.
- Keep up-to-date with BIM advancements through self-learning, trainings and conferences.
- Document and share key processes, knowledge, information, best practices, tools, techniques and lesson learnt to ensure continuous learning and improvement.
3. BIM Execution and Implementation:
- Manage day-to day BIM implementations, operations and deliverables.
- Develop, review and update the BIM Execution Plan and related documents including but not limited to the OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR, BIM Assessment Form, Risk Register, RACI Matrix, MIDP and TIDP.
- Lead the overall production and delivery of the Detailed Design Model, Coordinated, Simulation and As-Built Models.
- Establish processes and protocols for data exchange and user rights access to maintain model integrity and validity.
- Ensures the BIM deliverables are aligned and compliant to the BIM Execution Plan, Digital Delivery Execution Plan and related documents as stated above.
- Lead BIM Coordination meetings in projects with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
- Assist project team on BIM and related coordination between the client, design team, construction team, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate with project stakeholders to facilitate RFIs, design changes, and ensures that the model is updated based on the resolutions provided.
- Lead the overall information production (i.e. drawings and models) and data extraction for design, procurement, construction team and other stakeholders
- Produce BIM progress report on bi-weekly/monthly basis or as when requested to identify and measure BIM implementation progress.
- Provide tender support as when requested by the management.
- Oversee the purchase of BIM related software and hardware.
- Ensure subordinates have access to the required BIM software and hardware.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in AEC or related field
- Possess BIM related licenses and certifications.
Skills & Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of BIM processes and knowledge of industry standards including but not limited to PAS1192, ISO19650, IFC and COBie.
- Proficient in Autodesk, Bentley and/or related software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks, Infraworks, 3ds Max, MicroStation, OpenRail, OpenRoad, and OpenBuilding.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to use time productively, maximise project efficiency and meet challenging project goals.
- Ability to take on additional technical responsibilities and knowledge as needed with minimal guidance.
- Possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand highest standard of conduct from self and others.
- Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued improvements in BIM and related disciplines.
- Possess the ability to lead a team and work independently.
- Ability to raise the awareness of BIM within the GET department and across the group.
- Build good relationship with superior, peers and subordinates to ensure harmonious working environment.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience
- Minimum 5 years in BIM, design or engineering related experiences.
