Offshore Services – Australia Projects

Our offshore Contracts & Commercial team in Malaysia plays a pivotal role in supporting our rapidly expanding portfolio of major projects across Australia.

 

Following a recent major project award and the continued growth of our Australian operations, we are further strengthening our offshore capabilities to support our expanding project portfolio.

 

As part of this growth, we are looking for high-caliber commercial professionals to join our offshore Contracts & Commercial delivery team in Malaysia.

 

We are building a strong talent pool of Quantity Surveying, Contracts, and Commercial professionals to provide dedicated offshore commercial support across our major infrastructure, rail, and renewable energy projects in Australia.

 

Based at our Damansara Perdana office, you will work closely with our onshore teams in Australia, supporting the management of high-value contracts, driving commercial performance, and safeguarding project profitability within a dynamic international project environment.

 

We are looking for talent across all seniority levels, including:

  • Quantity Surveyors / Senior Quantity Surveyors / Contract Engineers
  • Assistant Contract & Commercial Managers
  • Contract & Commercial Managers

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international project portfolio and contribute to the delivery of major projects across Australia from our Malaysia-based offshore hub.

Key Responsibilities

Cost & Budget Management

Oversee end-to-end estimation, detailed cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering aligned with Australian project requirements.

 

International Contract Administration

Manage contract compliance, administration, and drafting in accordance with standard Australian contracting forms (such as AS 4000/AS 2124 series) and international frameworks.

 

Procurement & Subcontractor Packages

Drive large-scale procurement processes, manage international subcontractor packages, and conduct rigorous commercial evaluations.

 

Claims, Variations & Risk Mitigation

Identify commercial risks early, assess variations, support Extension of Time claims, and compile robust contractual documentation to protect project interests.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or a related discipline.

  • Professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, RISM, CIOB) are highly advantageous.

  • A proven track record and hands-on commercial experience within rail, tunnelling, and heavy civil infrastructure industries.

  • Experience or exposure in renewable energy infrastructures is highly valued.

  • Prior experience in international contracts, specifically Australian standards (AS) or UK/Commonwealth frameworks is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across remote, cross-border teams.
