Engineer - Business Development & Tender

Job Summary

Responsible for conducting research, preparing insightful reports and presentations, and assisting on the coordination and preparation of pre-contract activities for large scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough desktop studies and research on prospective projects, potential partners, and competitors. Consolidate available data and present findings concisely.
• Research and identify emerging market opportunities while staying abreast of market movements and trends.
• Assist in coordinating pre-contract activities, compiling necessary documentation, and providing support for pre-contract submissions, including technical writing.
• Strong creative sense and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to assist in preparation of insightful reports and presentation materials, including the use of infographic for better data visualization, to support senior management’s decision-making process on key business issues.
• Explore and leverage AI technologies to streamline business development and pre-contract processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with various departments to secure resources and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Support and promote a positive culture regarding HSE, Environmental Management, Sustainability, People, Community and Quality by setting clear standards and serving as a role model to others. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 in the workplace as required by the company.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by superior / management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline.

Skills & Abilities

• Able to work independently and possesses good technical, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Meticulous, an eye for details and sharp in figures or number.
• Positive attitudes / drive for result and willingness to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Good self-discipline and ownership of tasks.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

• 1 to 5 years working experience in the construction industry.
• Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
