About the role
We are currently hiring a Senior Safety Advisor with experience in Civil/Rail construction projects to join DT Infrastructure and Alstom in delivering the $1.6B contract for Perth's High Capacity Signalling Project. The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.
Based initially out of the CBD project office, this position will support business unit operations and management to ensure compliance with local HSE management plans, regularly review risk registers, and implement programs stipulated in the project HSE plans, together with HSE Integrated Management System (IMS) implementation.
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
- Knowledge of PTA Safe Working Rules advantageous
- 3 - 5 years in a Safety role in a construction environment
- Knowledge of Safety Management System techniques and tools
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls
- Skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- Experience in delivering training in high risk activities such as working at heights, confined space and rescue training
- Experience in developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance
- Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project
- Skill and experience using Corporate Management Systems & Rehabilitation
