About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager to manage and promote best practice communications to external stakeholders and local communities for Perth's High-Capacity Signalling Project. The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead a program of communication activities for informing and engaging the community and managing impacts.
• Update and implement communication strategies, management plans, forward outlook matrix, key messages, protocols and approvals processes.
• Manage the handling of enquiries and complaints in line with the enquiry and complaint procedure.
• Oversee budget and management of suppliers, for the implementation of community involvement and business activation activities.
• Ensure stakeholder and community issues are dealt with in a proactive and efficient manner to enhance the project, minimise issues and resolve community concerns.
• Lead the development and maintenance of community relations specific induction and internal communication tools to ensure best practice is upheld across the site.
• Lead communications and engagement with key community groups and stakeholders, provide strategic advice to the leadership team and negotiate outcomes for the community.
• Responsible for representing the project in all interface management activities, ensuring follow-up on required actions, and maintaining accountability.
• Work proactively with the client on issues, collaborate on solutions and continuous improvement, provide regular reporting and meet information sharing requirements.
• Maintaining an Interface Register that lists all key interface parties, describes the nature of each interface, assigns accountabilities, and tracks status and actions.
  
  

Experience and capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or relevant discipline.
• Extensive experience in developing and implementing communications plans involving community consultation and engagement within major construction.
• Experience working in an Alliance or Joint Venture environment is highly advantageous.
• Well-developed verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills including consultative communications skills.
• Based in Perth, WA with relevant Australian Right to Work.
