About the role

 

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced CAD Lead to join DT Infrastructure and Alstom in delivering the $1.6B contract for Perth's High Capacity Signalling Project. The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.

Reporting to the Digital Engineering Manager this role is responsible for overseeing the quality, conformance, and delivery of all CAD outputs across the HCS Alliance. This role ensures that CAD drawings and associated documentation comply with project standards, templates, and industry best practices—supporting consistent, accurate, and coordinated design deliverables, or as directed by the Digital Engineering Manager.
 

Experience and capabilities

 

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Drafting or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in CAD production and management.
  • Leading or supervising CAD teams on large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Developing and maintaining CAD procedures, templates, and standards.
  • Implementing and maintaining CAD QA/QC and conformance systems.
  • Strong understanding of drawing control, revision management, and documentation workflows.
  • Experience within BIM or Digital Engineering environments.
