DTI are currently seeking a Bid Manager with experience in Electrical/Renewables or Civil construction projects to join our team. The Bid Manger is responsible for the preparation of capability statements, expressions of interest and tenders relating to opportunities in the business unit scope.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that tendering of all potential works is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Providing innovative solutions and alternative methodologies for tenders.
- Handover of tender and contract information to Project Managers.
- Obtaining operational feedback on tender pricing to ensure that continuous improvement is achieved.
- Develop relationships with clients and key consultants to build DTI’s reputation and gain understanding of their key drivers and requirements.
- Develop relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors that align with our HSE culture, provide consistency in delivery and competitive pricing.
Preferred experience/qualifications:
- Relevant degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline
- 5 years + bid management experience in the construction industry
- Experience in preparing tenders for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, collaborative contracting and alliance contracts.
- Knowledge of the principles and practises of estimating, contract management, program management, logistics management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting budget preparation and administration management
- High level of understanding of detailed engineering, planning and scheduling
- Able to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense.
