About the role:
DT Infrastructure are currently seeking an experienced and driven Bid/Tender Manager for our WA Infrastructure division. This opportunity will be responsible for end-to-end tender submissions and contribute directly to strategic business growth.
Key responsibilities of this opportunity include:
- Co-ordinate timely preparation, review, submission of tenders/estimates.
- Develop a delivery strategy for estimates and tenders submissions including the identification of risk and opportunities.
- Interpret the client’s deliverable expectations and brief estimating team on scope of work.
- Assist with the submissions of sub-contractor/vendor packages for tendering. Supervise submissions of Requests for Information (RFI) to clients.
- Ensure accuracy of tender information, wage & enterprise agreement, labour hours, subcontractor pricing and material prices that are input into price sheets & estimating databases.
- Ensure liaison with relevant Managers for preparation of, feedback on and review of tenders / estimates.
- Formulate and maintain cordial relationships with clients, potential clients, suppliers, subcontractors and relevant consultants including managing post submission responses to the client for the clarification of matters.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Undertake contract risk assessment of prospective projects, tenders or bids. Draft conditions and qualifications to reduce risk.
Preferred experience/qualifications:
- Previous experience in Bid & Tender management for Civil / Infrastructure projects.
- Experience in preparing tenders for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, collaborative contracting and alliance contracts.
- Experience across the broad range of civil activities including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, bridges, asphalt, airfield operations and expedient construction techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge of the principles and practises of estimating, contract management, program management, logistics management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting budget preparation and administration management.
- High level of understanding of detailed engineering, planning and scheduling.
- Ability to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
