Job Summary
The Quarry Manager supports the Project Head in the total operation of the site. Your primary mission is to ensure that the daily production plan is executed safely and efficiently on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Operations & Supervision (Field Work)
- Production Targets: Monitor crushing and screening output
- Safety Enforcement: Lead daily "Toolbox Talks" and safety briefings. Actively patrol the site to correct unsafe behaviors, ensuring all staff wear PPE and follow traffic rules.
- ESG Enforcement: Ensure all duties and site activities are carried out in full compliance with applicable Quality, Safety & Health, Environmental, and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) standards, in accordance with Company policies and requirements.
- Equipment Coordination: Ensure all heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dumpers) undergoes daily pre-start checks. Coordinate immediately with the maintenance team if equipment goes down.
- Blasting Support: Assist in preparing the blast site, securing the perimeter, and inspecting the muck pile after blasting (under supervision).
- Quality Control: Visually inspect product stockpiles throughout the day to ensure stone size and cleanliness meet quality standards.
2. Management & Administration (Office Work)
- Inventory Tracking: assist in measuring stockpile volumes and counting spare parts inventory (screen meshes, rollers, oils).
- Procurement: Raise purchase requisitions for site consumables and spare parts; follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Reporting: Step in to prepare weekly reports or attend management meetings when the Quarry Manager is absent.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or a related technical field is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Technical Skills:
- Practical knowledge of crushers, screens, and conveyors.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for reporting) and Email.
- Ability to read basic mine plans and survey maps.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions to a diverse workforce.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
5-10 years of experience in quarrying, earthworks, or heavy civil construction. Previous experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor is a strong advantage.
