The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HR/IR Advisor to join the delivery team on the Goulburn River Solar Project. This is a site-based position on a major renewable energy construction project with a rostered working arrangement, with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable. This position is based on GRSF project, will be required to work a 14/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities
The People and Capability Advisor on GRSF project provides support to the HR/IR Manager, with day to day workforce operations across the project site. This includes;
• Assist with workforce reporting, including tracking of site headcount, turnover and recruitment,
• onboarding including site inductions.
• Camp operations coordination and liaison with the camp operator, including, roster management, coordination room bookings, arrivals and departures for all site based DTI employees and sub contractors.
• Liaise with Camp Operator and assist with resolving issues or complaints.
• Conduct audits of crib rooms, ablution blocks, camp and bussing provider to DTI standards
• Workforce logistics liaise with bussing provider to ensure effective DIDO operations.
• Promote a positive camp and site culture by supporting wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
• Provide frontline HR support to DTI employees, escalating issues to the HR/IR Manager
• Assist with union ROEs for the site, maintain IR Risk Register for GRSF
• Coordinate with Site Security the process of issuing and maintaining Site ID cards
• Assist with the demobilisation process of Project personnel for breaches of site Alcohol and drug related matter
• Managing the social impact reporting
About You
• Bachelor of Human Resources and/ or Business
• Demonstrable and successful ‘hands on’ experience in a related human resources management / Advisor role operating as an effective HR professional and being viewed as a credible, trusted Advisor; leader.
• Knowledge and a sound understanding of contemporary HR management and workplace relations
• Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders/clients to support delivery and create business value
• Demonstrates ability to build and maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the business environment and strategies; translating these into specific HR tactics and actions
• Conduct investigations with best practice processes
• Take accountability for own actions; address commitments with decisiveness, responsibility and appropriate level of efficiency and reliability
• Ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders/clients/team members to support delivery and create business value
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
