THE ROLE
DT Infrastructure have been awarded the contract to Design, Construct and Commission the Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region. This achievement marks our largest contract ever in Queensland and underscores our expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
As Workforce Development Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of training, upskilling, and workforce engagement initiatives on the Ormeau Rail Facility project. You will collaborate with internal teams, industry partners, and training providers to develop and maintain a skilled workforce that meets project and industry requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement workforce development strategies aligned with project needs and industry standards.
- Identify skills gaps and coordinate relevant training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Establish partnerships with local training providers, apprenticeship programs, and industry bodies.
- Ensure compliance with workforce development requirements, including government and industry regulations.
- Monitor and report on workforce development initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in workforce development, training coordination, or HR within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of training frameworks, apprenticeships, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Queensland training compliance, including state-specific workforce regulations and funding programs.
- Experience working with First Nations communities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Relevant qualifications in HR, training, workforce planning, or a related field (preferred).
