THE ROLE
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor with experience in buildings, structures and buildings services to join our team on a major Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards construction project based in Ormeau, Queensland.
You will play a key role in overseeing and managing structures and building services installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of building services within the rail facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate structural, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic installations on-site.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards, including the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure timely and quality delivery of works.
- Assist with project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
- Work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate risks.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against schedules and budgets.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in buildings, structures and building services (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics) within infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant regulations.
- Previous experience working on Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) QLD or Queensland Rail (QR) projects is highly regarded.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety and compliance requirements within the construction industry.
