About the role
DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Advisor to join the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) at the Ormeau Rail Facility.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of one of Queensland's largest rail infrastructure projects. Working closely with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and clients, you'll provide day-to-day quality assurance and project completion support, ensuring construction activities meet contractual requirements, industry standards and project quality objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant rail project while helping drive continuous improvement, quality excellence and successful project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the project's Quality Management System and quality assurance processes
- Review and manage ITPs, quality documentation, NCRs, construction lots and project completion records to ensure compliance
- Coordinate quality inspections, Hold and Witness Points, audits and assurance activities with project teams and subcontractors
- Provide coaching and guidance to project teams on quality requirements, project completion processes and quality documentation
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance, investigate non-conformances and support effective corrective actions
- Prepare quality reporting, monitor project KPIs and contribute to successful project handover and completion activities
About You
- Relevant trade background or equivalent industry experience, with previous experience in quality assurance within construction or major infrastructure projects
- Minimum two years' experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems in a construction environment
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, construction quality processes and project completion requirements
- Experience reviewing ITPs, quality documentation, as-built records and managing non-conformance processes
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills with the ability to coach project teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality, compliance and continuous improvement
