- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of H&S management systems, project safety plans, risk registers and compliance processes
- Conduct site inspections, audits and field observations, reviewing SWMS, permits and high-risk construction activities to identify and manage hazards
- Support incident and near-miss investigations, analyse safety trends and ensure corrective actions are implemented and effectively closed out
- Deliver safety training, inductions and awareness initiatives while mentoring less experienced H&S practitioners and coaching frontline leaders
- Prepare H&S performance reports, monitor compliance and work collaboratively with project teams to improve safety outcomes
About You
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Work Health & Safety, Health, Safety & Environment or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a safety practitioner role, including relevant experience within construction or infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, high-risk construction activities and safety management systems
- Demonstrated experience conducting safety audits, workplace inspections, incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to coach supervisors, engage frontline workers and build strong stakeholder relationships
